Senior UX Researcher

Sr UX Researcher Reports to: Director of User Experience Saatva is looking for a Senior UX researcher to join our Astoria, NY-based design team. You will plan and conduct studies using qualitative and quantitative methods to produce robust, meaningful user insights. You will evangelize these insights to stakeholders and empower our design and engineering teams to create beautiful, high-performing experiences. The heart of your work will be about discovering user needs and pain-points in order to develop a deep understanding and empathy for our customers. In collaboration with UX designers, project/product managers, strategists, writers and engineers, your research will be infused into all consumer-facing touchpoints, helping to optimize our ecosystem of e-commerce sites and inform new product launches. Responsibilities : o Plan and conduct user research studies using a variety of techniques including: interviews, contextual inquiry, surveys, diary studies, tree tests, card sorting, clickstream analysis, heatmaps etc. o Plan and facilitate moderated and unmoderated usability testing sessions o Produce insights from extensive qualitative and quantitative analysis o Build a research roadmap to support business, product and design objectives o Synthesize insights into polished, compelling deliverables including: reports, empathy maps, personas, user stories, customer journey maps etc. o Present reports and deliverables to our Director of UX, VP of Design and C-level executives o Lead design-thinking sessions with stakeholders and users Requirements: o 5-7 years of research experience at a consumer-facing organization. Experience in luxury e-commerce is preferred. o Undergraduate degree in psychology, cognitive science, sociology, HCI or comparable UX research experience o Proven experience working with design teams o Proven experience with a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies o Proven experience creating polished reports and research deliverables o Excellent storytelling and presentation skills o Strong data analysis skills with a keen understanding of statistical concepts o Excellent data visualization skills o Ability to communicate and connect dots with a variety of stakeholders o A passion for building cutting-edge online-shopping experiences This is a full-time position. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
