The Controller, reporting to the General Manager, will lead the accounting and financial operations of the company. In addition to the primary responsibilities noted below, the Controller will be relied upon to help design, improve and implement best business practices as the business continues to grow and becomes increasingly more complex. The Controller must have an excellent work ethic, be able to work in a team environment; and liaise between various business and financial groups to meet overall company objectives and corporate compliance. Responsibilities Facilitate monthly billings, project starts, substantial completion and project closeout status Oversee financial operations including AP/AR, job cost accounting, payroll and cash flow management Develop and maintain the system of internal accounting controls and financial reporting Budgeting, forecasting and analysis Coordinate quarterly accounting reviews, annual audits or reviews and tax returns Maintain state registrations, business and tax licenses, etc. Lead accounting staff; identify areas of need and continuously evaluate the needs of the company Oversee month-end close activities including generating financial statements and management reports Participate in business integration planning and execution Responsible for preparing and submitting tax and regulatory reporting and filing Reconciling, analyzing and ensuring the integrity of general ledger accounts and information Create and maintain a documented system of financial policies and procedures and communicate and manage organization on fiscal policies and procedures Evaluate profit and cost efficiencies, identify opportunities for improvement Develop, maintain and distribute as-hoc reports and financial analysis as needed Liaise with insurance company and ensure company sufficiently ensured   Qualifications Strong organizational and interpersonal Excellent communication skills; strong writing and oral presentation abilities Thoroughness and attention to detail Strong financial management skills Ability to work under pressure and establish priorities Ability to manage external contractors and resources Experience dealing with banks and financial institutions Proficiency in Quick Books, Microsoft Word, and Excel required. TSheets and RedTeam Experience is a plus Master's degree in Accounting, CPA is preferred Five (5) or more years' accounting experience in construction industry Compensation We offer a company health insurance program with paid time off and paid holidays. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
