47011 General Purpose:
Responsible for completing all NYSID janitorial jobs assigned.
Essential Functions:
Clean and sanitize restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures Clean, Dust, and wipe furniture:
Sweep, Mop or vacuum floors:
empty/clean wastebaskets and trash containers:
empty and clean all ash trays and refill restroom dispensers.
Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools:
buffers , auto scrubbers, extractors, high pressure washers, high speed buffers and buffers and vacuums, brooms mops and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls , carpets, furniture, etc.
Follow instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
USE AS DIRECTED.
Move furniture, equipment , supplies and tools on an incidental basis
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of Janitorial experience Knowledge of all floor machines.
( Buffer, Burnisher, Side by Side machine,) Ability to work overnights Valid drivers license Skills Required:
Intermediate janitorial skills Ability to work with peers.

Electrical Equipment Dirt & Dust.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
